Table/Column -> PowerBI Table/Column description propagator

The Table/Column -> PowerBI Table/Column description propagator replicates tables and columns descriptions to downstream Power BI tables and columns. The description is replicated only if there is a 1:1 match between the table/column and Power BI table/column.

Configuration

• Power BI Connection: Atlan Power BI connection in scope for the propagation.

What it does

1. Fetch all Power BI Tables and Columns without description.
2. Get upstream lineage of the fetched assets.
3. If there is only one upstream lineage with description populated, the description is replicated from the relational asset to the downstream Power BI asset.

Recommendation

The package updates the description field.
